ROB'S OATMEAL COOKIES

½ c oil
½ c butter
1 c brown sugar
1 c granulated sugar (white)
2 beaten eggs
1 ½ t vanilla
1 ½ c flour
1 ½ t soda
1 t. salt
3 c oats
Nuts and raisins as desired

Cream oil and butter and sugars.  Add beaten eggs and vanilla.

Mix dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.  Add oats and nuts and raisins.  Bake at 350 degrees 12-15 minutes.

Note: as a fan of butter I've tried melting it and using it instead of oil. Don't do that. I already did and they are not as good.

My sister Ann Marie makes massive amounts of this cookie dough, rolls it in balls and freezes it in ziplock bags to bake when she needs some cookies pronto!

Recipe from Rob, a friend of my sister Sue Taylor
